Celebration of the Chinese New Year!

Today is Lunar new year Eve. An important tradition on New Year's Eve is for families to gather together and spend the evening preparing Chinese dumpings (Jiaozi)?. According to Chinese Culture , it is common to hide a coin in one of the dumplings. Whoever gets the dumpling with the coin will supposedly have good luck in the coming year, this tradition specially popular ?in north part of China.? In south part of China, normally will eat a kind of rice cake, called as "nian gao", the literal translation is" one year higher than last year", so?it means next year will better and richer than previous year.
